We still have those cards and have added many more of them to our inventory of DAQ equipment. The libraries and software for them makes for easy integration into data acquisition systems. Answer: 
The on-board FIFO memory can handle/store 32K samples total, at aggregate rates up to 80 MHz. If more data is needed, the board moves the data from its FIFO memory into computer memory via DMA … this can be achieved at the aggregate rate of 40 MHz. In this “continuous” mode, the upper limit on number of samples depends on the PC’s (and application program’s) ability to handle the data.

I want to receive two LTE signals in two parallel channels and save them to computer in digital mode. I need them to be a continuous signals without any cut for at least 20s. F.Y.I, each signal BW is 10MHz with a sampling rate of 15.36 MS/s.
therefore, for continuous saving, I need a throughput of 30.72 MS/s.
so, can I know what is the maximum throughput for PCI-DAS4020/12? if a laptop i7 with 8GB RAB is used?
and can you suggest me a suitable pc to be used to achieve that throughput?

Answer: 
The PCI-DAS4020/12, being a PCI board, will only fit in a traditional full-height desktop PC. It cannot be used with a laptop. It can sample 2 channels at up to 20 MHz per channel. How long it can sample is system and application program dependent. 5-10 seconds using our Universal Library is doable and likely longer. In any case, since you need precisely 15.36 MHz per channel, and since the board’s on board crystal/counter circuit cannot generate this exactly, you will need to provide an external clock to the PCI board of exactly twice what you want (in this case, 30.72 MHz).

Summary
The PCI-DAS4020/12 is an ultra high speed, analog input board for PCI bus computers. It provides four, 12-bit analog inputs with sample rates up to 20 MHz, 24 bits of digital I/O, and two, 12-bit analog outputs.

Central to the board is a powerful System Timing Controller (STC) chip. The STC controls all A/D sampling including a 64 Ksample A/D FIFO. This functionality is based on the STC use of an on-board 32K x 24 SRAM. The board provides bus-mastering and scatter-gather functionality to assure the desired system timing is maintained.

The PCI-DAS4020/12 is completely plug-and-play. There are no switches, jumpers, or potentiometers on the board. All board addresses, interrupt channels etc. are set by your computer’s plug-and-play software. Even calibration is performed via software by using on-board digital potentiometers and trim D/A converters

Linux® Support for MCC DAQ Products Linux® Support for MCC DAQ Products is available in two different ways. MCC provides direct Linux support for our DAQFlex data acquistion products. DAQFlex products support message-based programming for both Windows and Linux. Many MCC products are also supported under third-party Linux drivers.
