Summary
Measurement Computing's USB-1608G Series devices are low-cost, high-speed, analog and digital I/O USB devices. All of these devices offer up to 16 SE or eight DIFF analog inputs, up to eight digital I/O channels, two counter inputs, and one timer output. Everything you need to begin acquiring, viewing, and storing data is included with each USB-1608G Series device, including comprehensive software support.

Analog Input: USB-1608G Series devices provide 16-bit analog inputs that are software-selectable as 16 SE or eight DIFF inputs. These devices also support software-selectable input ranges of ±10 V, ±5 V, ±2 V, and ±1 V.

Trigger Input: USB-1608G Series devices have an external digital trigger input. The trigger mode is software-selectable for edge-or level-sensitive mode. You can configure edge-sensitive mode for either rising or falling edge. In level-sensitive mode, you can configure for either high or low level. The default setting at power up is edge-sensitive, rising edge.

Retrigger Mode: In retrigger mode, you can set up repetitive analog input trigger events. The trigger is automatically re-armed after it is activated. Use software to set the A/D trigger count (the number of samples you want per trigger).

Digital I/O: Eight bidirectional digital I/O connections are included with USB-1608G Series devices. Each digital channel is individually configurable for input or output. The digital I/O terminals can detect the state of any TTL-level input. You can configure for pull-up (+5 V) or pull-down (0 V) through a jumper.

Counter Input: Each USB-1608G Series device includes two 32-bit event counters for counting TTL pulses. The counters accept frequency inputs of up to 20 MHz.

Timer Output: USB-1608G Series devices have a PWM timer output that can generate a pulse output with a programmable frequency in the range of 0.0149 Hz to 32 MHz. The timer output parameters are software-selectable.

External Clock I/O: USB-1608G Series devices provide one external clock input and one external clock output for the analog inputs.

	DAQFlex is a well-defined protocol that permits the programming of DAQ devices using a simple message-based interface. The DAQFlex protocol greatly simplifies driver and application development, because all DAQ operations are programmed through a common command interface, which is composed of a consistent, extensible firmware interface and an open-source, cross-platform API.
	InstaCal Installation, calibration, and test software in one package simplifies these important steps as you turn your PC into a measurement system. Installation detects new hardware and configures your computer and board. Calibration software automates this critical step and keeps your measurements accurate. 	TracerDAQ^® TracerDAQ is an out-of-the-box application that allows data to be generated, acquired, analyzed, displayed and exported within seconds of installing Measurement Computing data acquisition hardware. TracerDAQ has been completely redesigned to provide significant performance and feature improvements over previous versions. It now offers four different data acquisition applications; a Strip Chart, an Oscilloscope, a Function Generator and a Rate Generator, all of which are accessed via a common, easy-to-use menu page. TracerDAQ is provided standard with all Measurement Computing PCI-and USB-based data acquisition products to get customers up and running quickly and efficiently.

Optional Software
	DASYLab^® Software lets you interactively develop PC-based data acquisition applications by simply attaching functional icons. DASYLab offers real-time analysis, control, and the ability to create custom graphical user interfaces (GUIs). What’s more, in contrast to other graphical programming environments, which can require weeks of training to master, DASYLab has a very short user-learning curve. Many applications can be configured in a few minutes, rather than days or weeks.
	TracerDAQ® Pro Provides four virtual instrument applications used to graphically display and store input data – and generate output signals – within minutes of installing Measurement Computing data acquisition hardware. The applications allow the user to customize appearance, store configurations for future use, save data to a file for export and – with the use of interactive hotspots – change settings while the application is running.
