Summary
Measurement Computing's USB-2408 Series are multifunction DAQ devices designed for highly-accurate voltage or temperature measurements. Each device features up to 16 single-ended (SE)/8 differential (DIFF) analog inputs. Each device includes 8 digital I/O and two counter inputs. The USB-2408-2AO also features two analog outputs. Each device in the series offers 24-bit resolution for ultra-accurate voltage or thermocouple measurements.

Analog Input: Each device includes 16 SE/8 DIFF analog inputs which you can configure for voltage or thermocouple input on a per-channel basis. Eight software-selectable voltage input ranges are provided. You can configure these ranges on a per-channel basis from ±10 V to ±0.078 V. When measuring thermocouples, configure analog inputs in DIFF mode. All devices also include open thermocouple detection to identify improperly working thermocouples.

Sample Rate: The USB-2408 Series can sample analog input channels at up to a 1 kS/s rate.

Digital I/O: Eight digital I/O channels are included with each USB-2408 Series device, and you can read from or write to each individual bit.

Counters: Two 32-bit counters are included with USB-2408 Series devices. The TTL level inputs are capable of read/write rates of up to 500 Hz and an input frequency of up to 1 MHz.

Analog Output (USB-2408-2AO only): The USB-2408-2AO includes two 16-bit analog outputs. Each output has a ±10 V range.
Included Software
DAQFlex DAQFlex is a well-defined protocol that permits the programming of DAQ devices using a simple message-based interface. The DAQFlex protocol greatly simplifies driver and application development, because all DAQ operations are programmed through a common command interface, which is composed of a consistent, extensible firmware interface and an open-source, cross-platform API. DAQFlex is compatible with Windows®, Linux®, and Mac® OS’s and can be used with Android™-based tablets.
InstaCal InstaCal Installation, calibration, and test software in one package simplifies these important steps as you turn your PC into a measurement system. Installation detects new hardware and configures your computer and board. Calibration software automates this critical step and keeps your measurements accurate. TracerDAQ® TracerDAQ® TracerDAQ is an out-of-the-box application that allows data to be generated, acquired, analyzed, displayed and exported within seconds of installing Measurement Computing data acquisition hardware. TracerDAQ has been completely redesigned to provide significant performance and feature improvements over previous versions. It now offers four different data acquisition applications; a Strip Chart, an Oscilloscope, a Function Generator and a Rate Generator, all of which are accessed via a common, easy-to-use menu page. TracerDAQ is provided standard with all Measurement Computing PCI-and USB-based data acquisition products to get customers up and running quickly and efficiently.

Additional Software
DASYLab® Software DASYLab® Software lets you interactively develop PC-based data acquisition applications by simply attaching functional icons. DASYLab offers real-time analysis, control, and the ability to create custom graphical user interfaces (GUIs). What’s more, in contrast to other graphical programming environments, which can require weeks of training to master, DASYLab has a very short user-learning curve. Many applications can be configured in a few minutes, rather than days or weeks.
TracerDAQ® Pro TracerDAQ® Pro Provides four virtual instrument applications used to graphically display and store input data – and generate output signals – within minutes of installing Measurement Computing data acquisition hardware. The applications allow the user to customize appearance, store configurations for future use, save data to a file for export and – with the use of interactive hotspots – change settings while the application is running.
