Help and Support

WebDAQ is a portable data acquisition system used to acquire and view data on a web browser1 from any WebDAQ device installed on the network. Acquired data can be logged to a WebDAQ storage location, a mapped network storage location, or to user-supplied external media2.

With WebDAQ, you control the timing, synchronization, and data transfer of multiple independent hardware-timed I/O jobs.

WebDAQ jobs and schedules

Use the web interface to customize how you configure and manage measurement data. You configure each DAQ task as a job, and control when each job runs with the schedule.

WebDAQ user accounts

There are two built-in user accounts that control access to the WebDAQ — "admin" and "share". Access to the WebDAQ web interface device is controlled through the "admin" account. By default, any user can create or modify a job and schedule, or read, write, and delete files stored on the WebDAQ device's media through the web interface (security level is "Off"). If an administrator changes the security level, the "admin" account password is required to make changes (medium security level) or to access the web page (high security level).

1 The latest version of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, UC Browser, or Opera recommended. Compatible with the Edge browser version 79 and up. Not recommended for use with earlier versions of the Edge browser. Not recommended for use with Internet Explorer.
2 Acquiring data at higher speeds can generate large data files. To acquire a large amount of data to a single file when logging to external media, do not use media formatted with the FAT32 file system, as the max file size is limited to 4 GB. If the log file on FAT32 media grows beyond that size, a "File too large" error is returned and the acquisition stops. Before starting a logging session of this type, reformat the media using a different file system such as NTFS. Refer to the Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) topic for more information about file systems.
