Isolated, Simultaneous, High-Precision USB Device


The DT9824 USB data acquisition (DAQ) device provides fully isolated, simultaneous analog input channels for high-accuracy applications. Features include an A/D converter per channel, isolated digital inputs, and isolated digital outputs driving solid-state relays. Can be used as a portable device or mounted in a rack.

Ideal instrument for low frequency measurements

The DT9824 is ideal for measuring low-level signals and noise in low frequency systems. When used with the QuickDAQ user interface software, it functions as an oscilloscope and spectrum analyzer with microvolt sensitivity. And with the inputs isolated from the PC and from each channel, it eliminates grounding issues encountered with common laboratory measuring instruments.

DT9824 is a good product, software could use some work

The DT9824 is a solid 4-channel DAQ product. It is easy to configure with the QuickDAQ software and does a good job of collecting samples at the specified rate. The noise floor is a little higher than desired, but again, for the price this is a good unit. The QuickDAQ software is easy to use. But it has several small but annoying problems with exporting files. It doesn't hold on to the last choice for Filename Generation (i.e., Sequence or Time-Date options) which increases likelihood of errors when storing data. The Export function is also only available when "Record" has been selected, and not "View" which ultimately makes sense but isn't obvious.

There is no built in way to daisy chain two DT9824s. However, computers have several available USB ports that can be used for expanding the number of DAQ devices. Another option is to use a externally powered USB expansion hub. To synchronize the two DT9824s an external trigger will be required to start both DAQs at the same time.

Can you get BNC inputs for this A/D ? I would prefer that to the terminals you use in the picture on the web page.
