We spec +/- 40V overvoltage protection, between any input pin (CH+ or CH-) to the DAQ’s ground (which is USB ground). We do not spec CH+ to CH-, or CH+ to CH+. The common mode voltage (usable) spec is +/- 11V, also with respect to the DAQ’s ground.
