We have your USB 1408fs A to D unit.
Using Tracer DAQ, not the pro version, I see sampling at 0.31 seconds per sample. This is like a multimeter sample rate. I need to see at least a millisecond sample rate per channel. Will I be able to sample at the hardware rate (48 Khz total, 6 khz per channels with 8 channels sampled) using TracerDaq Pro? If not TracerDaq Pro, then what tool is next? Thanks MarkS

Hello Mark, You can sample all 8 channels of your USB-1408FS at its published sample rate, however, the issue you are most likely encountering is the maximum file size being reached within TracerDAQ. TracerDAQ has a maximum file size of 32K samples per channel, per file and TracerDAQ PRO has a 1 million file size limitation. So to answer your question, if you are sampling at 6K with TracerDAQ PRO you will be able to sample for approximately 2.7 minutes. If you need to acquire data for a longer period of time you will either have to lower your sample rate to extend your test time or change software packages. My recommendation would be to use our DASYLab graphical programming language. You can download a 28 day evaluation version from here: http://www.mccdaq.com/products/dasylab.htm
