When I first received this product I was initially a bit worried about the seemingly lack of techinal support listed on the Measurement Computing website. But after a bit of research and poking around at example Android Java code I was able to piece together nearly everything I needed to know. The hardware seems to be very powerful and the 50kS/s was exactly what I needed for fast data reading from my analog channels. All-in-all I absolutely recommend this product to anyone looking to interface to an Android tablet or in the need of analog inputs and a few analog outputs.
Product functions great! Easy to use! Setup was easy!
Is it possible with this controller to control a step motor driver. If not what your controller can be done?
MCC does not offer a product designed specifically for controlling stepper motors. The digital I/O lines on the USB-7204 are software paced, and can be updated about 100 times per second. Also the digital I/O lines are CMOS voltage levels with 2.5 mA drive current, which is likely too low for a stepper motor.
